I found this old newspaper clipping while cleaning
out our family home after my brother died.
The gas station was on 94th Avenue
(where Atlantic Avenue curves south,
just west of 130th Street).
Although the photo shows an outdoor lift,
by 1961 – when I was driving –
there were two enclosed bays on
the left side of the main building.
